Professional Development Workshops

Empower Leaders. Engage Teams. Elevate Performance.

Why Professional Development is Important

Professional development is essential for continuous growth, ensuring that individuals and teams stay competitive, adaptable, and effective in an ever-evolving workplace. It enhances skills, fosters innovation, and improves leadership capabilities, ultimately driving better performance and career advancement. Organizations that invest in professional development see higher employee engagement, increased retention, and a stronger, more resilient workforce. By staying current with industry trends and best practices, professionals not only boost their own success but also contribute to the overall growth and sustainability of their organizations.

Why Leadership is Everyone’s Business

Leadership isn’t reserved for titles or positions—it’s the foundation of every high-performing organization. Yet, poor leadership is one of the leading causes of employee disengagement, turnover, and workplace dissatisfaction.

  • $1 trillion is lost annually due to voluntary turnover in the U.S. alone. (Gallup)
  • 82% of employees say they would consider leaving their job because of a bad manager. (Dale Carnegie)
  • Over 50% of employees are disengaged at work, leading to reduced productivity and innovation. (Gallup)

Organizations that invest in leadership development see higher retention, stronger engagement, and increased profitability. Our workshops are designed to equip your team with the tools they need to lead effectively—no matter their role.

About Your Facilitator

Shattered Glass Leadership was born from my 15+ years of teaching experience and a doctorate in Business with a specialty in Organizational Psychology. I’ve delivered my original personality assessment to thousands of students and clients over the last 13 years—and those students teach me something new every time.

My retreats and workshops build on concepts of personality, motivation, and brain science. We dive deep into your goal and real challenges. We provide time and space to envision your next chapter or ten. Then we take those “aha” moments and turn them into action plans, so you can bring real change to your everyday life.

Leading Through Overwhelm

Crisis is inevitable, but strong leadership can turn adversity into growth. This workshop explores how the brain responds to stress and provides strategies to support both yourself and your team in challenging times.

As leaders, we understand that crises are an inherent part of life, and they can manifest in various forms, ranging from minor inconveniences to life-altering events. It is our responsibility to not only navigate these challenges ourselves but also support our teams through their individual journeys. That's why I invite you to join us for a transformative speech that will revolutionize your approach to leadership in times of crisis.
In this speech, we will delve into the science of a brain in crisis, providing you with invaluable insights into how our minds react to stress and uncertainty. By understanding the inner workings of the brain during these challenging times, you will gain a profound understanding of your own responses and those of your team members. Armed with this knowledge, you will be better equipped to recognize when your team is struggling, and more importantly, how to offer the right support with empathy while maintaining accountability.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand the neuroscience behind stress and decision-making.
  • Recognize when your team is struggling and how to support them.
  • Balance empathy with accountability to maintain performance.

Leading Across Personalities

Every team is a mix of personalities—some thrive on structure, while others prefer autonomy or creativity. Learn how to adapt your leadership approach to engage and communicate effectively with diverse team members.

In this workshop, participants will explore four primary personality types—Right Way, My Way, Nice Way, and Fun Way—and discover how to adapt their leadership and communication strategies to each. Right Way individuals thrive on structure and rules, believing “rules exist for a reason,” while My Way personalities prefer autonomy and decisiveness, operating under the motto “let’s do it my way.” Nice Way people emphasize harmony and empathy, often saying “can’t we all just get along?” Lastly, Fun Way types bring energy and spontaneity, approaching life with “what’s the worst that can happen?”

Through interactive activities and real-world examples, attendees will learn how these personalities manifest in team settings. They will practice identifying each type’s strengths, such as the organizational skills of Right Way, the innovative thinking of My Way, the conflict resolution skills of Nice Way, and the creative spark of Fun Way. Participants will also examine potential challenges and explore ways to “jump the line,” adapting their approach when necessary to increase effectiveness.

By focusing on strengths, creating psychological safety, and valuing different perspectives, workshop attendees will leave with a renewed appreciation for diverse work styles. This understanding fosters higher engagement, better communication, and a more cohesive, productive team environment.

Key Takeaways:

  • Identify and leverage the strengths of different personality types.
  • Improve communication and collaboration across diverse work styles.
  • Build psychological safety and increase team cohesion.
